The College Rugby Show, a new sports talk show dedicated to the growing world of college rugby in America, debuts on October 11! Hosted by a panel of rugby enthusiasts, the show will dive deep into the latest news, insights, and analysis from the college rugby landscape.

The College Rugby Show is created by Next Level Rugby’s Ryan Ginty and longtime rugby journalist and pundit Pat Clifton. The show will cover all divisions of college rugby throughout the Fall 15s season and the Spring 7’s championship. 

Meet Your Host:

  • Pat Clifton: From editing and writing for RUGBY Magazine, to founding the Gateway Conference, coaching at Lindenwood-Belleville and UMKC, and now serving as NCR’s 7s director, Pat has 15 years of experience working full-time in rugby and is well positioned to guide discussions and keep fans engaged.

Special Guest Contributors:

  • John Broker: A seasoned sports broadcaster with a specialization in rugby, John has brought the excitement of the sport to audiences through his coverage of the Pan-Am Games, Olympic Qualification Events, and numerous international matches. As the play-by-play voice of NCR’s Friday Night Rugby, John offers a wealth of experience and a unique perspective on rugby in the U.S.
  • Thomas “Wheels” Grant: Originally from New Zealand, Wheels is the Academy Director of the New England Freejacks and a sideline analyst. He is also Broker’s partner and the color commentator on Friday Night Rugby. With extensive coaching and playing experience, he brings passion and insight to the development of the next generation of rugby talent.
  • Angela Smarto: Known to most as Smarto, Angela is the NCR Women's Director and Division I Commissioner. Also a standout player at Penn State, Smarto will provide invaluable insights on women’s rugby, celebrating achievements and advocating for the growth of the sport at all levels.

First Episode Preview:

Tune in for the inaugural episode, where they’ll preview the upcoming season's journey to the 15's Nationals Tournament in December! They’ll also reflect on the remarkable achievement of the U.S. Women's team in securing the Olympic bronze in 7's rugby.
