ATLANTA, Ga. - A weekend chock full of high-octane rugby at the 2025 Women’s All-Stars ended with a third consecutive tournament victory for the Lone Star Armadillos, capping a dominant weekend for the talented group from the South.
The Armadillos secured the three-peat with a 29-12 victory over the North Atlantic Collegiate Rugby All-Stars, who were playing in their first-ever All-Star 7s National Cup tournament. Both teams were undefeated in pool play on day one. The Lone Star team defeated the best players from the Big 10 25-17 in the semifinals. North Atlantic defeated Allegheny’s all-stars 27-5 before falling to the Armadillos. The Big 10 went on to defeat Allegheny 21-12 to take third place.
Last year’s tournament MVP, Southern Nazarene’s Telesi Uhatafe, scored two tries in the final to help put the Armadillos ahead and Texas Tech’s Leah Lockerman was named the 2025 Most Valuable Player. Lockerman led all players in points scored with 55 on the weekend, dotting down 11 tries across five games. Lockerman and her Lone Star teammate Lauren Anderson were named to the 2025 All-Tournament team along with a number of other talented players who put all their skills on display at SIlverbacks Park.
