National Collegiate Rugby has named its 2024 Men’s All-American class, with 92 players representing 62 schools making up four divisional teams.
National champions are well accounted for, with Brown leading Division I with three selections, Kentucky leading DI-AA, IUP and runner-up Northern Iowa tying with three atop the DII tally, and Wayne State leading in DIII.
Two DI players became three-time All-Americans, in Wheeling’s Aaron Juma and Queens’ Hilton Olivier. Olivier returns to the list having not been named as a junior following nods as a freshman and sophomore.
Like Olivier, Marian’s Tommaso Lorenzetti returns to the All-Americans, making the list in 2022 before missing out last season. Joining as two-time All-Americans are AIC’s Filimone Manu, Principia’s Damir Conci, and Walsh’s Remy Thompson. Thompson made the list with Notre Dame College last season.
Tennessee No. 8 Matthew Beacom stands alone as DI-AA’s lone three-time All-American, though Kentucky flyhalf Jack Phillips, Virginia Tech lock Lucas Bichy, Bowling Green No. 8 Phil Tracey and Boston College fullback Patrick McMahon are all on the list for the second year in a row.
Northern Iowa flyhalf Jentry Stack is in rarified air as the lone four-year All-American in this year’s class, leading the Panthers to the brink of a national championship with a loss to IUP in the final. The Crimson Hawks see wing Dom Holmes earn his second-straight nomination, alongside Montana State flanker Finn Russell, Norwich center Marius Edwards, RPI lock Raymond Santiago and Towson center Zachary Uhler.
In DIII, Holy Cross flyhalf Jackson Evarts and Mira Costa College center Connor Malauulu become two-time All-Americans, both having missed the honor last year after earning it in 2022. They’re joined by Colorado School of Mines scrumhalf Max Cisneros, Endicott flanker Jordan Chappell and Southeastern Louisiana flyhalf Felix Hamilton-Marino.
