NCR provides a total of nine different national club playoff systems, both for XVs and 7s, complete with Qualifying and Regional Championship events. This pursuit of the NCR National Championship inspires clubs and players to achieve greatness.
Qualifying, Regional, and National Championship events are hosted at top notch facilities across the United States and are some of the most well run collegiate rugby events on the calendar. NCR staff work closely with local partners to provide the best experience possible for clubs, participants, and fans.
These playoffs, along with NCR leadership, have given collegiate club rugby credibility in the eyes of school administrators, club alumni and parents. As a result NCR has helped collegiate rugby clubs gain increased school and alumni support, as well as popularity and interest among students who want to give rugby a try.
NCR National Championship pathways are provided for both men and women’s collegiate clubs. The men and women’s divisions are now split into Open and Small College Divisions. The men’s division offers three championships offered between the two levels of play in XVs and two separate 7s championships. The women’s division now offers championships in both XVs and 7s for both levels of play.
Along with the club championships, NCR offers All-Star Championships for the top players from member clubs. All-Star Championships are currently offered for men (XVs) and women (7s).
