Education and leadership

NCR Development Summit

The 2027 All Stars weekend also brings targeted development opportunities for collegiate coaches, conference commissioners, and referees. Open each section for a quick overview, then use the full page for schedules, educators, pricing, hotel information, and participation details.

Coaching Education

January 14-16, 2027 | Orlando, FL | $250 per coach | Staff packs from $175

Three days with The Rugby Site and lead educator Darryl Suasua MNZM, two-time Women’s Rugby World Cup-winning Black Ferns head coach, built for the coaches who shape collegiate rugby.

College rugby grows when coaches get better at seeing players clearly, designing sessions that transfer to Saturday, and building a team environment athletes want to stay in.

The National Collegiate Rugby Development Summit puts that work in one place, the same weekend the nation’s high-performance collegiate players gather for the NCR All Stars in Orlando.

This is not a certification weekend and it is not a lecture series. It is a practical coaching education summit run by The Rugby Site and led on the ground by Darryl Suasua, one of the most successful coaches and coach-developers in both the men’s and women’s international game.

You will leave with language you can use on Monday, sessions you can run that week, and a sharper sense of the coach you want to be for the athletes in front of you.

Conference Commissioners

January 15-17, 2027 | Orlando, FL | $25 per commissioner | All Stars matches included

College rugby holds together because conference commissioners do the unglamorous work: fixtures, eligibility questions, playoff paths, club support, and the quiet decisions that keep a season honest.

The National Collegiate Rugby Conference Commissioners Summit puts that work in one room, the same weekend the nation’s high-performance collegiate players gather for the NCR All Stars in Orlando.

This is not a lecture series and it is not a status meeting. It is three focused workshops, men’s conferences with Brad Dufek and women’s conferences with Alycia Washington, on best practices, purpose and competition alignment, the vision going forward, and professionalizing the administrative workspace.

Sign up today. Space is limited. The workshop fee is $25 and includes free admission to All Stars weekend matches.

Referee Education

January 13-17, 2027 | Orlando, FL | By invitation | Free with waiver of weekend fees | Hotel covered

This summit is by invitation. Officials apply online. Selection is the first step on the path to the Fall 2027 15s panel.

College rugby grows when the official on the field is as prepared as the teams. Clear communication. Sound law. Decisions that stand up when the game speeds up.

The National Collegiate Rugby Referee Development Summit puts that work in one place, the same week the nation’s high-performance collegiate players gather for the NCR All Stars in Orlando: one evening of pathway and context, one full day of classroom and grass work, then live Center and assistant-referee appointments with coaching on the performance.

There is no cost to attend if you waive your All Stars weekend match fees. NCR covers the hotel. You will leave with a sharper picture of the official the 15s panel is looking for, and with feedback from matches that actually matter.
